How Coding Queendom is making new technology career possibilities for women

As part of the Mantu Empowerment Program, we continue to promote diversity and inclusion in the technology sector through targeted initiatives that create access to new career opportunities.

Launched in Colombia in 2023, Coding Queendom supports young women from underrepresented communities in accessing careers in technology. Developed by Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, and supported by the group, the program combines scholarships for software development training with a six-month hands-on consulting experience, supported by mentorship from our teams.

By connecting technical learning with real client experience, the program helps participants make the transition into professional life with the skills, confidence and practical experience they need to take the next step in their careers.

What is Coding Queendom?

Coding Queendom is a key component of the Mantu Empowerment Program, designed for women who may face financial, social or geographical barriers to entering the technology sector.

Participants receive a scholarship for an intensive software development program before moving into a six-month consulting experience with Amaris Consulting. During this second phase, they work alongside our teams on real client projects, with ongoing mentorship and support.

This connection between training and professional experience is central to the program. Learning technical skills is one part of starting a career in technology; having the opportunity to apply them in a professional environment is another. Coding Queendom brings the two together, giving participants the chance to build their capabilities while gaining a first experience of consulting.

Coding Queendom is more than a professional opportunity; it is a path to dignity, independence, and transformation for women and their families. I am truly proud of what we are building through Mantu.

A program with proven impact

Since its launch in 2023, Coding Queendom has supported 24 women across the region, including 20 participants in Colombia. More than 15 graduates are already working on client projects, putting their skills into practice in professional environments. The program expanded to Chile and Brazil in 2025, with participants now gaining experience in these markets alongside the original Colombian promotion. Canada is the next planned destination as the initiative continues to grow.

Participants have worked with organizations across banking, insurance, retail, healthcare and consumer goods, gaining exposure to international companies and a range of business and technology challenges.

The involvement of these organizations is an important part of the model. It gives participants more than a qualification: it gives them the opportunity to contribute to real projects, work with experienced professionals and understand what it means to build a career in IT consulting.

I’m from Bucaramanga, Colombia. At 20, after completing my initial software development training, I moved to Bogotá to join Amaris Consulting (part of Mantu) through the Coding Queendom program. This program facilitated my relocation, my onboarding and offered coaching and hands-on experience, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world application. The support I received from the team helped me refine my skills and accelerate my growth.

Thanks to this opportunity, I transitioned into a Business Analytics Consultant role, where I continue to advance my career in the tech industry.
