Mantu Medellín at a glance
Medellín hub brings together around 80 people working across these departments. The city has emerged as one of Latin America's fastest-growing innovation cluster. It entered the world's top 130 startup ecosystems in 2026 and is home to more than 700 active startups; it has also attracted 165 worldwide tech projects to date, making it a major LATAM destination for technology investment and reflecting Colombia's growing role in the region's progress.
"Medellín has become an unmissable city in LATAM for progress. Being present here is now one of the best ways to be part of it."
How the Medellín Hub supports Mantu
Aligning every function around the same priorities
Every team supports the same business priorities, each from a different angle. Finance evaluates opportunities, profitability, and project viability. Recruitment hires talent across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, and other business functions. HR supports people development. IT and legal provide the systems, tools, and governance that enable projects and day-to-day operations. Each department plays a distinct role, and all of them work together.
Connecting Colombia's markets with the wider Americas
The Medellín and Bogotá offices collaborate closely across Colombia, combining complementary expertise while staying connected to the local market. Each market brings its own expectations, decision-making processes, and commercial context. The team uses its understanding of the region to shape relevant proposals and connect opportunities with the right Mantu expertise.
Life at the Medellín Hub
The office occupies the 11th floor and looks out across Medellín. An open layout makes it easy to speak with colleagues during the day. People can also work from home when their role allows it, as part of the Hub's hybrid working model.
New joiners work alongside experienced colleagues, ask questions, and learn how processes operate through daily contact. That practical exchange matters, especially for people starting their careers. Office life includes more than regular work: teammates organise ping-pong tournaments, watch football together, and hold themed events around Halloween.
Once a month, everyone meets for breakfast. Birthday celebrations, service milestones, and presentations about local AI projects form part of these gatherings.
Spanish and English are part of everyday work in Medellín. Language skills help colleagues communicate with teams across the Americas and with Mantu people in other regions. Local recruitment brings together business and technical skills with English-language ability, and universities contribute to the talent pipeline, particularly for early-career profiles and people entering technology, finance, and business roles.
Community activities take place outside the office too. Each year, colleagues join the Carrera de las Rosas, which raises funds for breast cancer support, with participants choosing distances from 5 km to 21 km.
Where local expertise meets opportunities across Mantu
Learning starts with the first role. People at the Hub can use Mantu Academy, work towards certifications, join mentoring initiatives, and take part in leadership development programmes. The local team also organises annual Excel training for people from different departments, including recruitment.
Much of the learning happens during the work itself. Experienced colleagues explain processes, answer questions, and share practical knowledge with new joiners. Internships come with real responsibilities: interns can contribute to analyst-level activities and join discussions and decisions related to their work.
Experience in Medellín can also lead to a move across Mantu brands or locations. Andrés Felipe García Díaz, for example, joined the group through Little Big Connection, part of Mantu, before moving into a role at Amaris Consulting, also part of Mantu. After three years with the group, he became Hub Director of Medellín.
Career development from the Hub can mean taking on broader business responsibilities, moving between Mantu brands, progressing into management, building expertise in a specialist function, or relocating to another Mantu office.
