When Nhu joined the program, she came in with a strong academic background in finance. She was ready to dive into the technical side of things, but what she discovered was a whole new way of thinking about finance.
“At first, I thought finance was all about numbers—making sure they were accurate and up to date. But during the program, I realized that the real value lies in interpreting those numbers to make strategic decisions. I worked on P&L (profit and loss) analysis, forecasting, and comparing forecasts with actual results. It was eye-opening to see how data drives business decisions and shapes the future of the company.”
What truly transformed Nhu’s experience was the shift in her mindset.
“I used to be quite shy, especially when working with people I didn’t know well. But here, I learned how important communication and teamwork are in finance. My mentor and colleagues encouraged me to speak up, ask questions, and share my ideas. Now, I feel much more confident collaborating with others and contributing to the team’s success. It’s not just about the work—it’s about the connections you build along the way.”

Chau’s experience: growth, collaboration, and challenge
Chau’s journey was different. As her first professional role after university, she was excited but also nervous about stepping into the corporate world. “I joined Mantu because I wanted to gain hands-on experience in a real business setting. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d learn about adaptability and problem-solving. One of the most memorable experiences was being part of the team that launched the new EPM system, which replaced our old GIT system. It was a big change, and there were challenges, but seeing how the team worked together to solve problems was inspiring. We leaned on each other, and that’s what got us through.”
Chau also cherished the lighter moments that brought the team closer.
“The work was intense, but the team made it enjoyable. We had fun moments too, like our Christmas gift exchange. It’s not just about the tasks—it’s about the people you work with. My manager and buddy were always there to support me, and that made a huge difference in my learning experience. They didn’t just teach me how to do the work, they showed me how to be part of a team.”
