A multinational food and beverage conglomerate sought a new approach to fortify its cybersecurity defenses. Although its cybersecurity systems were already strong, the ever-changing nature of cyber threats necessitates a proactive approach to consistently remain highly secure.
A steadfast cybersecurity approach
A team of IT specialists from Amaris Consulting, a Mantu brand, coordinated the integration of an additional cybersecurity layer into the client’s network infrastructure. This enhancement involved the deployment of Hermes, an AI-powered offensive cybersecurity mechanism, and Clarity, a machine learning tool specializing in risk evaluation. Both rooted in IoT, their integration was slated across the conglomerate’s expansive network of factories, boutiques, and facilities.
To ensure seamless implementation, our team adopted a two-fold approach:
Deployment: Our team liaised with Clarity and Hermes suppliers to ensure proper delivery at each location. This also involved coordinating with the client’s local IT teams. For the virtual device, Clarity, it was crucial to prime the local IT infrastructure for seamless integration. Conversely, Hermes, a physical device, demanded careful attention to its on-site placement and subsequent connection to the wider network.
Configuration: Once the devices were installed, either virtually or physically, the next phase involved configuration for optimal performance. This step guaranteed effective functioning and enabled contribution to the global reporting mechanism that delivers live monitoring feedback from all locations.
We oversaw the successful installation and configuration of the devices across nearly 2000 sites globally, even amidst the challenges of the 2020 pandemic which led to various lockdown measures that impacted traditional work arrangements.
By leveraging these state-of-the-art devices, the food and beverage conglomerate not only strengthened its defense against new cyber threats but also gained unparalleled real-time insights into its cybersecurity health. Given our exceptional work on this project, the conglomerate decided to retain our team for ongoing device maintenance and to provide expertise on these advanced tools.
